Are you looking to make a difference in your community? Do you want to see changes in your community? We have a need for Board and Architectural Control Committee members that desire to make a difference in the community. You’ll be required to attend HOA meetings, which are once every three months, or 4 times a year. These are currently done via video conferences, but may change over to in person in the future. However, most communication is done via e-mail throughout the year.

Due to the limited amount of visitor parking in our neighborhood and per the request of home owners, the HOA has adopted a new parking policy. ALL vehicles parked in visitor spaces are required to have a hang tag displayed on their mirror or dashboard.
Each home will receive ONE hang tag to be used for visitors only. Each hang tag will have a unique number that is associated with their home, this will NOT be your address for safety reasons. Summit Management and Battlefield Towing will have each number for record. Duplication of the hang tag is forbidden and if duplicated, will be revoked. If lost a fee will be assessed to receive a new one.
Vehicles without a hang tag or found to have a duplicated hang tag will be towed immediately without warning. Battlefield Towing will be patrolling our neighborhood a few times a day to remove any vehicle found in violation. Battlefield Towing will also begin towing any vehicle found in the fire lane or sidewalk outside a home (without prior approval from the HOA).
Hang tags as well as the complete parking policy will be mailed to the homeowner of record within the next few weeks. Any rental unit is the responsibility of the home owner to ensure the renter receives the new hang tag and parking policy.

Plastic bags for yard debris collection are no longer accepted.
You might ask if certain types of plastic biodegradable and compostable bags are accepted and we wanted to clarify to prevent any further confusion. Unfortunately the answer is NO. Yard debris in any type of plastic bags is not acceptable, regardless if the plastic bag is recyclable or not. All yard debris must be placed in PAPER bags or a personal reusable container clearly marked yard debris. For additional information, please visit the Fairfax County website at
The Winding Ridge Board welcomes our new property manager Toria Harris. From Toria herself:
“I am no stranger to the community association industry. I have over 10-years of property and community management experience. I have managed a diverse portfolio of communities ranging from single-family homes, townhomes, high-rise, and garden-style condominiums located in the DC metropolitan area. Over the years, I have developed a skill set that demonstrates a thorough understanding of the community association management industry. The key strengths I possess are conflict resolution, overseeing the overall day to day operations of community associations. I am a self-starter and always eager to learn new things. I hold the certification, CMCA, Certified Manager of Community Associations, and actively seeking the designation of AMS, Association Management Specialist from the Community Associations Institute.”
She will be taking over the duties of Maria Burrell who has moved on to other things. We want to thank Maria for her service to our community and wish her well.

As some of you may know, Colonial Pipeline is closing the intersection of Singleton’s Way and Braddock Road from Monday June 8 through Saturday June 27th. Please see the link below for further details on how it impacts Winding Ridge.
According to their detour routes, traffic is NOT going to be diverted through our community. As a community, it’s our job to do the best we can to make it safe. The HOA as requested Fairfax County Police Department patrol our road for speeders, so please look out for those officers.
